Being sick and sick of bad breath are almost one in the same

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 8:03 am

That’s right bad breath sucks.  Actually if you suck on the right stuff it will ease the condition.  Making your mouth and breath feel clean and fresh is the real goal.  It’s not easy but here are a few things that have helped me.

What ever you put in your mouth is going to effect your breath so putting the wrong stuff in is not going to help.  Food with high fat and low fiber are likely to be a breeding ground for bacteria…the same kind that causes bad breath.  Get green which helps to increase fiber and remove toxins which will make your breath smell better longer.

Natual bad breath cures or at least mini remedies are also great.  Lemon and water works.  Eating or chewing on various herbs like parsley or mint will also help to prevent bad breath.  They may not taste great but they work.  So figure out if you bad bad taste or fresh smelling breath.

We all know about and use off the shelve products like gum, mints and other similar products.  Some of those work real well.  The ones that taste strong or pucker your lips work best.  After a while you get used to them.  They are the easist to use so keep them handy and when in doubt pop one in your mouth.

Cause of Bad Breath

Cause of Bad Breath
By Eric Sentell

Poor oral hygiene is the primary cause of bad breath. It is recommended to take proper care to maintain the health of your teeth and gums in order to avoid bad breath.

Some causes of bad breath are given below:

1) The most important cause of bad breath is left over food particles in the tooth sockets, decaying of which result in bad breath.

2) Insufficient amount of saliva in oral cavity. Saliva keeps the mouth wet and being a natural cleanser, it cleanses the food particles.

3) Bacteria: Bacteria act on the food particle and ensure the cleaning of mouth. The action of bacteria on food particle causes the release of hydrogen sulphide, which is among one of the main contributors to bad breath.

4) Tooth decay and injury of gums: tooth decay and bleeding gums is also a main cause of bad breath. Therefore it is recommended to visit a dentist at least once in two to three months. Prevention and early diagnosis will surely result in cure of bad breath in its early stage. A large numbers of people are affected with this problem that is also clinically known as halitosis.

5) Some foodstuffs can also cause bad breath: Eating pungent food items like garlic can also give bad breath. So it is recommended to avoid garlic and onions or to wash your mouth thoroughly after consuming these items.

6) Smoking and alcohol consumption is also a cause of bad breath.

7) Some serious health hazards, which can result in bad breath, are: ulcers, tonsillitis, dental plaques, Gingivitis, gum retraction, diabetes, dental caries, bio film and salivary gland disease.

If you are suffering from bad breath, you should visit a specialist at the earliest to cure the bad breath. Some people think that only expensive treatments can cure bad breath but this is not correct, if you diagnose the cause in its primary stage than you can cure bad breath naturally.

Does Dr. Katz stuff work?

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 7:43 am

Today I received this email from Dr. Katz and his office

not once, or twice but 5 times.  Maybe a little overkill

on his part.  Anyway I want to know if anyone has

had lasting success with his program.  Personally I’m

$500 lighter in the pocket book and have never received

the benefits he promised.  The office was nice enough

about it but never returned my money.  So if you have

a good or bad experience please use the comment section

to reply.  I would love to know if any of our chronic suffers

have had the Katz system work.

”Dr. Katz is one of the top experts in the world on the
topic of bad breath and halitosis. Over the last 10 years
he has personally helped thousands of patients, and tens
of thousands more have come through his clinics and been
helped by his knowledge.

I know because I am one of them - I don’t remember the
last time someone offered me a piece of gum or a mint,
and it’s a wonderful feeling.

If you are looking to prevent bad breath, neutralize bad
tastes, or stop the progression of periodontal disease
then you MUST read this information.

Also pay attention to the articles that you will see
over the next few months - they will help you determine
what is the best course of action for YOU!

Dr. Katz takes great pride in running the office just
like a “dentist office”, so if you have ANY questions at
all, don’t hesitate to let us know.”

Bad Breath solutions short version

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 10:11 am

I read with interest and article reagrding bad breath on a website and thought it had some interesting points although it was rather long.  I have made it short for easy reading.

There is no miracle cure for bad breath so the answer is control.  How and what we do to control our problem can have great results.  Lets take a look at six suggestions.

1.  Stop eating and drinking dairy products now.  You are drinking the acidic fluids of an animal.  Stop and start to juice instead.  You will notice a big change over time.

2.  Get rid of all toxins form the colon.  Get the bad out and you will notice a difference.

3.  Get some good bacteria inside of you like acidophilus.  Add high strength minerals, chlorella (try and get the fresh organic kind as it is the best).

4.  The obvious one is food.  Stop eating junk and bad food.  By doing so you are taking away some of the ammunition that fuels bad breath.  Eat fresh and less bacteria will form cutting down on bad breath.  To cut VSC you’ve got to go the food route and eat the right stuff.

5.  You need to balance your PH levels and oxygenate your body fluids.  Yeast can’t survive in oxygen.  Problems occur the more acidic your PH.  One recommendation is to try VAXA BUFFER PH supplements which help with the reblance as well as Aerobic Oxygen which should be added to the mineral water that you should be consuming.

6.  Floss, floss and floss some more.  You would be surprised how many people ignore the simple things like brushing and flossing.

Try these things to help control your bad breath.

This just in from one of our loyal readers.

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 6:59 am

We just received this testimonial from one of loyal readers so we are going to publish it pretty much word for word in hopes that it might work for you.

The brand is called GERM-X ultimate, extra moisturizing Foaming Soap (Soap in your mouth…oh well thats what it says), with active ingrediants (((Benzalkonium Chloride))).

Target has it, Wal-Mart has it, Walgreens has it and most other large drugstores.  They are everywhere and cheap as dirt. Well almost.  Tung Brush.  Some of you don’t live in the states so these stores may not exist in your country.  In that case check out

www.germ-x.com look under the browser Foamy Soap.  It’s only $2.49 or something like that.

I brushed my tongue, cheecks, gums, teeth, under tongue and all around.  Rinsed with water really, really, really well. Then brusherd with a plain toothbrush just to rid any remaining soap residue.  I had slight discoloration in the front of my tongue at first, (maybe chemical burn).  I cut back using it to 2-3 times a day now.  Naturally I got carried away by how great it was and how great my breath was.  The discoloration is now gone. Try this as it may work for you.

Thanks for providing this information.

New Hope for bad breath is all around

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 7:02 am

Yes we have had an influx of positive news in the last few days regarding bad breath.  I will post a few each day.  One that seems to be popping up is the website with the following URL:  www.emofree.com .  A few memebers have commented that they are getting good results using what this site suggests.  Although I have not tried any of the products myself I have it from a very dependable source that it is working for him.

Another person wrote in saying that the following treatment of tetracycline/bizmuth/metronidazole has been effective.  the person who commented on this said “I’ve been odorless during the treatment, but still have to wait if my halitosis will come back after the treatment”.  If anyone wants more info email me at st56@comcast.net and I will do my best to provide you with more information.

Check out:  http://www/freepatentsonline.com/EP1469867.html

Another person wrote in a about a treatment using bizumuth salt.  Bizmuth is not an antibiotic, but it is supposed to bind to odorous gases emitted by bacteria therefore eliminating maladourous odor.  Pepto Bizmo contains bizmuth.  Bizmuth is used in conjunction with antibiotics to treat halitosis.

Check out:  http://helico.com/case_study-01-halitosis_and_hpylori.html also makes mention of bizmuth.

Nothing to do with Bad Breath but at times like this who really cares…

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 9:57 am

Please pray for our not quite 6 year old dog Chewco.  Chewco was recently diagnosed with a diseased disk. Although he was no longer the dog that droppped a ball at my feet and wanted to play as soon as I hit the door or that pulled me along or could even walk along on a 3 mile stroll  he was doing fairly good just up until the holidays.

Chewco has not slept through the night for the last several weeks without whining or needing to go out but for the most part he was still functioning. In the last 2 days though Chewco has lost control of his bowels, doesn’t eat food or treats, has a runny nose and has somewhat labored breathing and walking. Although under 2 pain meds he still tends to shake and his eyes look weak. I am afraid that when we have his vet appointment this morning that it will be time to make the “big decision”. Please pray for my little guy.  This has been an especially hard time emotionally.  I never knew how close one could get to a dog.
Thanks for listening and have a wonderful day.

It’s no secret what causes Bad Breath so why is it such a big problem?

Filed under: General Relief — Susan @ 7:46 am

To begin with the foods we eat cause most of our breath problems.  We all know that coffee, onions, garlic and many more foods and drinks are the cause.  If you understand how and why all this happens it can greatly aid in getting rid of bad breath.  While food is the main cause simply by cutting down on their intake will help a whole lot.

Garlic and onions for example are made up of a lot of sulfur which is the same sulfur that makes eggs stink.  If you don’t want to have stinky breath then simply cut down on your sulfur intake.

Now fish while great for the body is very high in protein (good for the body) which is not good for your breath.  The protein is converted to sulfur and we all understand what sulfur can do.

Other good things like cheese and milk and dairy products in general are super rich in proteins.  The protein is the breeding ground for all the little bacteria that causes bad breath.  By breaking down the lactose protein and releasing the amino from the dairy products we once again are creating sulfur.  See a trend here?

Both coffee and alcohol have the same effect.  While not a food they both aid in different ways to an increase in sulfur.  While its very tough to cut down on things that you like its also critical to reducing bad breath.  So if you want to reduce bad breath cut back on the intake of sulfur producing foods and drinks and you will go a long way to reducing bad breath.
